The Altama Maritime line of footwear is extremely popular and it’s about to get an addition. Previewed at SHOT Show, this new 9″ variant is currently in production in four colorways. However, they’re still about a year out from release. Altama is still trying to come up with a name.
I’ve really liked the pair I own- they were excellent for northern CA and HI shores. That said, I’m curious what these do that their existing models don’t. The construction’s light enough I can’t see it providing much ankle stabilization.
They’ll keep sand burrs out of your socks,but mostly personal preference I suppose.
Probably my favorite every day shoe, bought several pairs incase they stop making them(just how I am with products) wish they made a pair without the drainage hole for western PA type weather
They make the Urban Assault,a little different material and sole but no drain holes.
