The Swiss firm B&T is displaying quite a few new products including the Heat Shield which is a removable cover for suppressors.
It features a quick attach, compatible with Picatinny rails and is easily removed.
At the bottom are vents.
Additionally, it is compatible with their larger RBS cans with plenty of space left for venting.
MSRP for this pic rail cheese grater? $500.
BLUF: Nobody cares. Milipol isn’t a retail effort.
What the mil is discovering is that everyone wants a suppressor, until it’s time to live with a suppressor. What they gain from suppressors, they incur other related downsides in the pursuit of signature reduction.
The widespread adoption of cans means these heat shields are seen as a new “need” for mil guns.
MSRP can take a hike.

Just because it’s patented in the U.S. doesn’t mean it’s patented in Europe or elsewhere. There are plenty of U.S. products that are ripped off by European or Asian manufacturers and there’s no recourse for the U.S. companies unless they hold patents in those other locations. It’s a good reminder when releasing a new product to think about IP protection everywhere that you might sell it.
