The New SKR-C1 Gives FN SCAR® Owners the Longed-for Ability to Fire on Both the Pull and Release Functions of The Venerable Gas Piston Semiautomatic Rifle
MINDEN, Nev. – January 16, 2025 – Franklin Armory, Inc., one of America’s most innovative manufacturers of firearms and accessories, announced today the latest model in the patented Binary Firing System® lineup. The new SKR-C1 is Franklin Armory’s first Binary® trigger for the popular FN SCAR®. Now, FN SCAR owners can experience the thrill of shooting in Binary mode that hundreds of thousands of Americans have come to enjoy on many other firearm platforms.
“From social media engagements to customer surveys, the FN SCAR consistently ranked among the most requested platforms for our next Binary trigger design,” said Franklin Armory President Jay Jacobson. “Our engineers enthusiastically pursued this project and did a fantastic job of adapting our Binary technology to the renowned SCAR platform.”
Franklin Armory’s new SKR-C1 provides the same three-position selectable functionality found in all of its Binary® triggers for rifles and pistol caliber carbines: Position One, safe; Position Two, traditional semiautomatic; Position Three, Binary®. In Binary mode, a single round is fired when the trigger is pulled and a single round is fired when the trigger is released. One of the Binary Firing System’s revered safety features is the ability to cancel the release round by simply moving the integrated selector switch from Binary® to the “semi” or “safe” position before releasing the trigger. More information on the operation of the Binary Firing System can be viewed in the video “How Binary® Works.”
MSRP for the new SKR-C1 Binary Trigger for FN SCAR is $499.99. Franklin Armory anticipates shipping the SKR-C1 before end of the first quarter 2025.
