Every single magnified optic that has ever existed used a prism. This is a small form factor 1-4 LPVO, but it isn’t even the first of those.
Is it me, or is it on that rifle backwards in that first photo?
If it is, it’s on backwards on the AR-15, too.
I think the magnification ring is on the front of this optic.
The YouTube video shows it being fired in that configuration, and the shooter has a beard, so it’s definitely legit.
They use lenses/curved glass, sure. But no, not prisms. Spotting scopes use prisms, and many binoculars do too though.
I like when the gun industry just makes things up, a Chinese company had a variable zoom prism on display at least years shot show that looks identical to this. This “company” just copy and pasted what already existed and slapped their name on it lmao
They didn’t copy/paste anything, they just had the Chinese version contracted to them. Nevermind that the Chinese copied the original design first.
