This is the new Vertx Belt to be launched as SHOT. The Vertx Belt has 1 ¾” contoured webbing, 1” Raptor buckle and is available in Black, Earth and OD. According to Vertx, if you forget your carabiner, this belt can help you out in a pinch. Be sure to look for it at the SHOT show in Vegas this month.

Interesting – hope they introduce a 1.5″ model.
Vertx makes some good stuff, I love their Phantom pants. I am with JSGlock34 on this one in hoping they make a 1.5″ version, most of my pants cannot fit a 1.75″ belt.
Too bad they went with the Raptor, instead of the industry standard AustriAlpin Cobra.
Cobra buckles cost >20$ ea. They were an “industry standard” luxury buckle because no one else made anything like it. The Raptor is supposed to be equivalent quality at a much lower price and may have some better finish options.
Agreed… the cobra buckle is nice but way too expensive. Great looking belt guys!
The Raptors are only a few cents cheaper than the Cobra’s.
That’s not true, they’re about $10 cheaper on average for wholesale.
When they released pricing, early last year, the prices were only a few cents off of AA dealer prices, and you have to buy in bulk opposed to buying 1 unit from AA.
‘According to Vertx, if you forget your carabiner, this belt can help you out in a pinch.” Then perhaps one didn’t do a thorough mission analysis or a proper PCC/PCI. I’m just not certain why this is a useful selling point.
