In this case”Utilitarian” is a compliment. However, I wouldn’t underestimate the ingenuity of the Russian Soldier. He’s had to make due with so little for so long he can fry an egg on a shovel.

    Brits have been using shovels to fry eggs on steam locomotives for decades.
