SIG SAUER is introducing a new product this week for AR-pistols that may well change the way you look at these guns.
According to SIG SAUER, the SIGTac SB15 Stabilizing Brace will , “Dramatically Improve the Single-Handed Performance of Buffer Tube Equipped Pistols.” Additionally, they state that it is ATF approved.

With a buffer tube that long – not to mention a barrel that long – you’d think it would make more sense to put a shoulder stock on it and fire it conventionally.
But I’m sure there’s a market for that contraption. There always is.
That would make it a Short-Barreled Rifle; and thus, a Restricted device.

If you have it strapped to your forearm how can you shoulder it. The atf from what I know approves or denies by intent….not by how it can inappropriately be used.

that is an armhole stock! all you have to do is put it against your shoulder!
I’ve seen folks put the receiver extension aka buffer tube against their shoulders as well.

Nice concept. Don’t know about always having that thing strapped in though. What if you had to drop your main weapon and go to a secondary?
Would love to see one that is spring loaded versus the strap.

I think that this would be a great device for amputee’s as well, both civilian and veteran that have lost a hand or an arm.
I’m surprised that SIG didn’t show that in their video. Regardless of if they liberal media freak out or not, I really think if SIG also marketed this as an enabling device for handicapped people, it might help prevent criticism.
Any gun accessory that helps our wounded veterans is a good thing regardless of it’s controversy.

Make sure you have a virgin receiver transferred to you as a pistol! Simply not putting a stock on a rifle does not a pistol make!
I have an AR pistol, which I’m a huge fan of, but I don’t see how this is any more of a “stock” than simply pushing the buffer tube into your shoulder.
