It Must Be A Sov’ Thing

First we had Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov with an itchy trigger finger, and now it’s the Chairman of the Board himself.

Its a Sov Thing

All I can figure is that it’s a Sov’ Thing.

Nice Rifle! It looks like an ACR banged an AK47 and the resulting offspring was…. AKR?…(Advanced Kombat Rifle)…DA Komrade I definitely want one!

  2. Haji says:

Since when have the Russians been all about doing things safely?

  3. griffin says:

gotta make sure the trigger feels good!

  4. Sgt Slaughter says:

In Soviet Russia, trigger pulls you!

With the way the Russians keep modernizing the AK, they’ll eventually have themselves a SIG 55X.

  5. I actually Enjoy the Looks on the “gentleman’s” face behind him more. Are they waiting for it to go bang or trying to figure what the best response is to his comments on the Trigger Pull & Rifle? 🙂

  6. KilgoreTango says:

Is that Ed O’neal from Modern Family, with the purple tie?

  7. cy says:

Diss is my safety mother f#$%er! ( said with cheesie Russian acsent)

  8. Razinski! says:

I have much more respect for this man than I have for the current POTUS.

  9. Eric B says:

As the spokesperson proudly extolled the adoption of US-born ideas into the new AK variant, President Putin’s finger quietly slipped inside the trigger guard as he said
“Excuse me Comrade, but all I see on this weapon are fine modifications from Soviet..er, Russian engineers. Isn’t that right?”

  10. akula says:

At least the safety is on

  11. Sal Palma says:

SSD was correct in saying that it’s a Russian thing. The finger is inside the trigger guard but note that it is pushing up against the inside of the trigger guard and not resting on the trigger.

    • Adam says:

Exactly right. Very common practice in that part of the world. Not the safest thing in the world, but not exactly the way it looks either.

  12. JackM says:

Something we talk about in gun class. Men go to a gun show or store, pick up a gun and put their finger on the trigger. Women gentley hold the weapon and don’t. We see it all the time.

  13. reader says:

is that Putin holding the rifle?

  14. defensor fortisimo says:

The AK 47, for when you have to waste every motherfucker in the room… intentionally or otherwise

  15. lcon says:

Yes its Vlad the Ak-er. Actually the original caption stated he was testing the trigger on the AK12, although it said nothing of the anti putin dissident who happened to have been supplied for said testing….JK

also seen in another article with a group of these pics were silver plated AKs and Silver SVD both by now are in the palace of Kim Jung Ung.

  16. Zerberus says:

I think its a non working model …where is the charging handle

  17. Marshall says:

Trigger discipline is actually a pretty new thing to the Russians. Look through pictures. Almost all the time they have the safety off and their finger on the trigger. It’s kind of the norm to them.

  18. LCSO264 says:

did any of you catch this week’s episode of Tac TV? They definitely do things different over there.

  19. Russ says:

Did you happen to catch the Tac TV episode in Russia (4th episode I think)
Larry Vickers was at a training facility with Russian operators. It was crazy man. Dude was being shot in the chest with body armor while returning fire right over the sholder of the guy shooting at him. Head shots all the way. Then they had a drill of a mob pushing and shoving. Same kind of thing live fire close up ane personal. One miss there and its lights out
