Vertx Sponsored Pro Staff Member, MMA Fighter And Combat Veteran Tim Kennedy Announces Next Fight

Cincinnati, OH 03-FEBRUARY 2014 – Vertx® along with sponsored MMA fighter, combat veteran, and Vertx® Pro-Staffer, Tim Kennedy, is excited to announce Kennedy’s upcoming bout versus Michael Bisping on April 16, 2014 at the Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale in Quebec City, Canada.

“Working with Tim is a top priority for Vertx® and we are excited to sponsor him in this highly anticipated fight with Michael Bisping,” said Ginger Rohlfs, Director of Marketing for Vertx. “We are beyond thrilled to be able to lend our support to our friend, colleague and partner.”

After years of back-and-forth “talking” between the two, Kennedy received the nod to fight Bisping this past January. Coming off a three-fight win streak, including a first-round TKO victory in his last appearance over Rafael Natal at UFC Fight for the Troops in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Kennedy is more prepared than ever. Carrying an undefeated knock out resume among his UFC colleagues, Kennedy is also known for his military background, edgier sense of humor and out-of-the-ring video antics. He is a favorite among fans who appreciate Tim’s personable and direct nature.

“I couldn’t be more excited about having opportunity to fight, and beat, Michael Bisping,” said Kennedy. “Representing a company like Vertx® in such a marquee main event matchup is truly a dream come true.”

Catch Kennedy vs. Bisping live on Fox Sports 1 and Fight Pass on April 16th.

Nice! Knock that fucking wanker out, Tim.

  2. Mike Calhoun says:

“Background guy” Kennedy is gonna be nothing but a wet stain when this is over. Trash talk is only gonna get you in the octogon. Not gonna get you the belt.

  3. Haji says:

I love how Bisping performs against really hard punchers. The greatest thing that ever happened in the decade plus I’ve been watching fights in the Octagon was Hendo knocked Bisping’s head into the third row. Bisping has become a gatekeeper; winning this fight will set Kennedy up for a run to the title.

Roger that, and that second punch Hendo landed while Bisping was down on the mat – icing on the cake.
