Norway-based NFM Group has come up with EC Paint, a weapon and equipment paint designed to fit both daylight and IR needs. EC paint dries in seconds, covering equipment with a smooth matte coating and no shiny spots. It is also durable and heat resistant without affecting the material structure, and can be used for covering plastics and textiles. NFM states that EC Paint is NVG compliant. This is pretty cool considering we’ve all been using krypton for years now and it wasn’t really designed for use on military equipment.
EC Paint is available in 8 colors: Grey, White, Black, Coyote Brown, Forest Green, Olive Drab, Mud Brown, and Sand. A dedicated stripper has also been developed for the paint, which they say provides easy and fast clean off. EC paint comes in 400ml spray cans and a 5 liter container for vehicle application.
EC Paint has been selected by the British Army to respray all weapons systems for issue in Afghanistan. Hint-hint, US Army.

Great product, Im using this for approximately 4 years. Works great on firearms, Nylon and helmets.
Any dealers yet? I’d love to buy a few cans, but I don’t think I can get set up with them on a bulk purchase.
The army can’t get uniform camo right let alone weapons camo. Also how will the weapons look nice for the new garrison army they are hell bent on switching over too, global instability be damned! Fantastic product though.
Big Army won’t be painting weapons en masse any time soon.

Anyone know if this holds up well on suppressors? I know it’s “heat resistant” but cans get insanely hot.

When you hover your mouse pointer over the paint products on their website, a popup window says that it can damage plastics. I wonder what the extent of the damage is.
Yeah clarification is needed.

Company says plastics (and by extension nylon) are a no-go.
Any word on a US distributor? The NVG angle distinguishes this product…

Our commanding officer has forbidden all further painting of weapons.
