Crye Precision has just released their Smart Pouch Suite. Unveiled during SHOT Show 2014, the Smart Pouch Suite is a simple lightweight pouch system designed to handle the vast majority of all load carriage tasks. It’s rather ingenious. I can’t believe these are out already. Anyone using them yet?
Frag pouch holds an MBITR or 152 battery.
They’re actually IN STOCK?
The US’s most reliable Crye dealer (for individual sales at least, but they also can outfit a unit) posted above you.
O P Tactical should have some/all of these pouches in Multicam and possibly Coyote next week to order.
Wow gp pouches can be used to carry magazines , a set of nvgs, water and spare shit. Nothing new here except pouches that seem to do alot but nothing really well.
Tried them?
No need , every company out there produces gp pouces that can be filled with just about any mission essential equipment. Just that crye is trying to rei-invent the wheel/claim common sense load carriage as their own.
Actually, they built it for a customer. Other people saw it and asked to buy it. Hate on Crye all you want. They are going to sell them. Lots of them. Loggies like it when they don’t have to buy as many different things.
They have already sold almost all of certain pouches in this production run.
Loggies don’t end up using the stuff. The whole avs system does everything but nothing really well, no hate here -Crye produces some great products but these aren’t anything new dudes have been using magazine pouches with sloppy tolerances to carry smoke grenades for years,.
Guys used canteen pouches to carry magazines in Viet Nam. Btw, the user community that asked CP for these pouches isn’t run by Loggies. It’s run by guys who use these pouches.
The point would be to do everything well though so by saying we already have pouches that do that and then “no hate here” is an oxymoron. The adjustable tension on the side and top with the ability to also close the pouch incorporates the TACO concepts with the ability for closed pouches if needed i.e. airborne, water, repelling. SO pick a side.
Looks to be of good quality. Prices are, definitely Crye, but the whole Belt/AVS/MOLLE thing might be worth the cost of entry.
AVS is comfy. Slight weight penalty pays off in load mechanics.
Is there a reason they ignored the AK market? Even as US dealers it should be noted for all consumers. The thing that seperates this from other pouches you can just stuff with crap is it has adjustable tension on the sides as well like a TACO. Hope its good.
