Whiskey Two Four – WTFix

This is an announcement from Whiskey Two Four regarding their new WTFix system. The full release can be read below.

1WTFixStrapped

WTFix is a system consisting of Strapped, Strapless, Straps, Surface and Grid. WTFix is compatible with many PALS inspired modular systems. WTFix is precision laser cut from extremely durable, engineered Hypalon fabric. WTFix is as light as it is tough with components weighing as little as .1oz / 3 grams. WTFix is cost effective replacing both traditional stacked nylon webbing as well as the touch labor necessary to mount it.

2WTFixStrapless

WTFix Strapped backers are a self contained attachment solution integrated by the gearmaker at the manufacturing level. Nothing else is needed to mount on modular platforms. WTFix Strapped are available in short (2 row) and long (3 row) in 2, 3, 4, and 6 column widths.

3WTFixStraps

WTFix Strapless backers are integrated by the gearmaker at the manufacturing level and are compatible with Whiskey Two Four’s WTFix Straps, Tactical Tailor’s MALICE Clip, Blade-Tech’s Molle-Lok, BLACKHAWKS!’ Speed Clips, Maxpedition’s TacTie, and similar. WTF Strapless are available in short (2 row) and long (3 row) in 2, 3, 4, and 6 column widths.

4WTFixSurface

WTFix Straps are used to attach compatible modular pouches to modular platforms. WTFix Straps are available in short (2 row) and long (3 row).

5WTFixGrid

WTFix Surface is as an alternative to traditional nylon webbing for modular mounting options on the front and sides of pouches and bags.

WTFix Grid may be used as a stand alone or integrated solution to accept WTFix Strapped, Strapless, Straps, and similar PALS compatible modular attachment systems.

As with other WTF products, WTFix is manufactured in the United States by US citizens from US made materials on US manufactured machinery.

WTFix components and other solutions are available at wtfidea.com. Please email questions to gearmaker@wtfidea.com.

Whiskey Two Four are proud to continue supporting the gearmaker by offering COTS design and manufacturing solutions for integration into their finished product. From pattern making to laser cut textiles to custom printed milspec tags and more, WTF strive to make applicable technologies and materials readily available and affordable to manufacturers large and small.

  1. I asked if BFG could make something like the strap backer when their Helium Whisper pouches came out. I’ll be ordering some of these for sure. Should fit well on all the ultralight rigs. No more malice clips in the side.

    Bravo Zulu to W-T-F!
I can see a lot of usage from these kits! Just having the capability to attach pouches to previous non stack-able pouches is awesome! And I reeeallllly like the WTFix Straps!
Once again, I’m sure a lot of people are slapping their foreheads and wondering “why didn’t I think of that…”

  3. Christopher says:

Looks like a great way to aid in TACO attachment headaches.

    • Exactly why I wanted it. Although the carbon scraper from a Multitasker hooked into the locking tab of a malice clip works well to pull it through.

    • mike says:

they have single-handedly made Taco pouches worth using. I guess I don’t have to wait through TYR’s leadtime for the Combat Adjustable mag pouches any more…

  4. SGT Rock says:

Awesome sauce! I have all kinds of usage for a product like this. Bye bye bulky malice clips.

  5. Jon, OPT says:

    Evolution just happened.

  6. Dan says:

I am pumped for these to replace Malice clips! So bulky……

  7. Lasse says:

    Awesome stuff WTF!

  8. Chris says:

I picked up this pouch back in around 2005-6, made by a company similar to 5.11; far east made, but to a good standard using good materials:

Whether the separate straps would be in some sort of interference with whatever patents etc there around around the natick snaps I don’t know, but the first time I saw MALICE clips I thought they seemed a pretty bad option all around. As some others have mentioned, I find them especially bad on TACOs and other small pouches as well as being generally bulky and liable to causing discomfort and hot spots in certain configurations. Very glad to see these straps on the market, look forward to testing out their durability.

  9. Luke says:

    pretty stoked about this!

I can’t wait till you can buy laser-cut cordura yardage, I want to make a backpack.

these will make MALCE clip pouches way more comfy on pants belts or minimilist chest rigs.

  10. Invictus says:

I don’t know why Hypalon is taking so long to penetrate the market. Weight savings aside, the reduction in bulk and ease in mounting is ridiculously easier.
