UK-based PILGRIM has developed what they call the TACSAC Covert Chest Rig. Designed to appear and function as a vehicle go bag, the TACSAC can quickly transform into a Chest Rig by releasing and pulling down zip pulls on the bag. The loose flaps fold behind the bag and secure with Velcro.
With the contents of the bag secured to the webbing, it can also be used as a general purpose bag. It’s also small enough to fit within a vehicle footwell for quick access if the vehicle comes under contact.
PILGRIM states the TACSAC can be made in any color or material to help break up the profile of the end user. The TACSAC has recently been made in Black, Coyote Tan, and MultiCam.

I think it would be more practical to simply attach the mags to the inside of a messenger bag. I know that when I get caught in those unfortunate sustained firefights that so regularly interupt my afternoon shopping I wouldent want to waste the extra 5 seconds folding velcro flaps.
It’s not just a car bag, its also a platform to work from. Designed in mind to allow covert method of entry, tech survailance and EOD operators discreetly carry their tools onto target.
Used as a chest rig, allows tech operators to work from the chest rather than reaching around for tools in procarious positions.

The bag was originally built for contract in Black and Coyote tan with M/C.

Have you thought about marketing this as a camera bag? That would be a neat platform if there is room to carry a full size SLR. The mag pouches could be used to carry extra lenses…they would be in a handy position for quick lens changes. and I’m sure there’s room for other accessories.

Nice idea, its been done before though. We made a very, very, very similar bag for some customers here and abroad.
It’d be a great active shooter kit for LE. The interiors of cop cars are so dirty and cluttered that I, and a fair number of other guys, carry theirs in duffles or other bags, just to keep them relatively undamaged and unstolen. I don’t want my mags covered with the goo from damp fusees or tweaker barf.
One among many nice products, and I love the catalog views of Pen Y Fan / Corn Du and the trails up there (which I guess should have been expected with the company name and website adress). Just might have to order me some pilgrim stuff sent to Sweden.
