Diamond Tactical – TACC-1 Discreet Carry Rifle System

TACC-1

The TACC-1 (Tactical Assault Carrying Case) Discreet Carry Rifle System is a guitar and rifle case. Made of 1200 nylon, it features high-density EPE padding throughout to protect the bag contents. PALS webbing along the front exterior allows for a high degree of customization with the addition of accessory pouches; a strip of Velcro loop allows for attachment of a name tape.

The rear features reinforced shoulder carrying straps, as well as a grab handle. Additional features include:

– Molded zipper grip
– Removable butt pad
– Padded laptop pouch

The TACC-1 will accommodate an AR-15 and other similar sized rifles, as well as many shotguns.

In addition to the TACC-1, Diamond Tactical also manufactures instrument and pedal board bags, as well as more traditional load carrying pouches.

  1. Dave says:

It is literally labeled “tactical.” Does that still count as discreet?

  2. Ben says:

THIS IS NOT DISCRETE. A GYM BAG IS MORE DISCRETE.

  3. Stiller says:

There is nothing discreet about that bag. It is covered with PALS. Added pouches = added fail. It has a contrasting logo that features the word “Tactical” for additional derp. It is a perfect accessory for those going for the look-how-cool-I’m-“discreetly”-being uniform.

Strip the webbing, delete the logo = Maybe.

  4. Greg says:

Great classic concept, but writing “Tactical” on the bag (even if it is the company’s name) sort of sends up red flags.

  5. Ben says:

As Greg noted, printing tactical on the bag is a huge no-no. Slathering it in MOLLE webbing is also a mistake if low profile is your priority. This is far from the first company to take this REALLY SIMPLE idea and f-ed it up from the very beginning.

Anyone looking for something ACTUALLY discrete, buy a gig bag for a guitar. I’ve had a Roadrunner brand bag that cost me about $60 that I’ve toured across the US and Canada several times over (with a guitar in it) that has never failed. It conveniently fits most rifles and shotguns as well, and doesn’t deform into a weird non-guitar shape when you use it for that purpose.

    Shh, don’t tell my neighbors.

  6. Bill says:

Just by pawn shop analysis, I’m not sure shaping something like a guitar is low profile. Stencil a civvy hard case with “SAMPLING TRIPOD” or “SEWER SYSTEM MAPS” and hope the skells can read.

I like BIOHAZARD stickers also. Foam line an old coleman cooler for pistols and and small kit and viola: ORGAN TRANSPLANT.

Maybe a sax case; never met a hood who liked classic jazz.

  7. Lasse says:

I’m no civie gun owner or American, but what prevents you from stuffing your rifle in a normal bag? You know, those that people use to get to the gym, for travel etc.?
That’s low profile, cause it’s a no profile item, people carry those things everywhere…

This is just a cool guitar case IMO.

    • Reader says:

Nothing, really. A rifle won’t fit in most bags though, besides a gym bag perhaps). Also, people like buying ready-made things tailored to their specific needs, IE ready to go out of the box. A normal bag may or may not have space for all the gun related things you want to carry like magazines for example.

This one is a terrible idea though…. everything about it is decidedly not discrete.

    • Armchair Warlord says:

Nothing. This is for people with more money than common sense, playing at being low profile tactical operators.

    • TomcatTCH says:

      Nothing at all.
I use two guitar cases and a rectangular padded dual case with bright colored straps for moving rifles when I don’t want to stand out.
Nothing to stick out, and they are cheap.

  8. Henrik says:

This could have been a april fools thing.

  9. jack says:

Needs some zombie logos and maybe a biohard symbol or three.

  10. Haji says:

I already have things to carry my rifles in. Make me a gig bag with PALS webbing that fits my Thunderbird basses and I’ll be all over it.

  11. Grump says:

I already have a guitar bag to carry my rifle in. It looks like a guitar bag because it IS a guitar bag. Without six pounds of webbing, there’s even room for the patches of my favorite bands. It has tons of pockets. It’s padded. It has shoulder straps. It cost about $30.

That “rifle system” is just plain stoopid.
