This Hoodie is made from 50% cotton 50% polyester and offered in Basalt Gray (dark heather gray) with a white contrast zipper. What’s cool is that it comes right from the factory, ready to sport morale patches just like mom or dad, with 4″ x 3″ black loop field securely stitched on the left sleeve. The right sleeve sports the Cub Cubs acorn logo.

Last month I visited TYR Tactical and as we went over their new Huron Tactical Clothing and Equipment line several items caught my eye including this Split Hand Warmer. There are a lot of hand warmers out there but this one zips apart into two pieces allowing you new configuration options. It’s really up to your imagination.
It can be easily attached to your Brokos Belt, Plate Carrier or worn via adjustable Waist Strap. The split hand warmer also includes two front zipper pockets for storing reusable disk-activated hand warmers.

Although Massif is well known for their FR garments, many do not realize that they were called upon by USSOCOM in 2011 to help modernize the multi-level Protective Combat Uniform. In addition to the Level 7 garments we recently featured, Massif also manufactures the non-FR Level 1 and 2 items. Although the designs remain simple, they achieve functionality and comfort due to the little things. For example, across the span of garments in the system, seams don’t fall one atop the other despite their ergonomic shape. Additionally, the Polartec fabrics chosen for these garments revolve around moisture management featuring excellent wicking and air permeability properties.
Now, the actual garments issued to SOF, are available to individuals as well as units and agencies not included in the original program.

Yesterday, I drove to the Velocity Systems factory to pick up samples of the new Range Shorts and the MultiCam BOSS Rugby. While we were there, I also happened to purchase the Tan BOSS and Range Shorts for one of my kids.
Due to popular demand, we took a photo for a color comparison between the Earth Tan BOSS Rugby and Tan Range Shorts. As you can see, the BOSS Rugby is closer to the Sand color for current issue Army T-shirts, while the range shorts are closer to a traditional Khaki. This Tan turned out great and I really like the color.
The BOSS Rugby has long been my go-to range shirt and these new shorts are awesome. I had a pair of an earlier version and they’ve really dialed the design in. Designed with a customer from the ground up for range use, the pocket configuration is well laid out.
