Veterans Day – A Time For Celebration

Saturday, November 11th, 2023

My message to my fellow Veterans on this Veterans Day is to celebrate your service and the camaraderie you share with your fellow Veterans.

Thank you all for joining me in serving this great nation.

This date goes back to the Armistice which ended World War I and it ties in so many who honor this date. I found this amazing image on Wikipedia and think that it really sums up everything going on today.

For our allies who also observe the 11th of November as a Day of Remembrance, let me join you in honoring those who served, and made the ultimate sacrifice.

CTOMS Launches My Memorial List

Wednesday, November 1st, 2023

CTOMS announces the release of the ‘My Memorial List’, a project created to commemorate the names of those now passed. The ‘My Memorial List’ is a symbolically rich piece of art that has been formatted with fillable fields for the addition of names, dates, and locations. The intent is for anyone to download and create their own list of those whose memory they wish to preserve and honor. Once a list is created, it is meant to be printed and displayed that the memory of those listed is kept alive.

For more information on the project, including a detailed description of its intent and the meaning of the symbolism, and to download the list for free, visit ctomsinc.com/pages/memorial-list.

9/11 Remembered – The Toll

Monday, September 11th, 2023

Wow…22 years. A lot has happened in last couple of decades. Most of it, not good.

There were 2996 immediate deaths on September 11th, 2001. I will never forget the people who cheered that day, celebrating an attack on America and the deaths of so many innocents. I will never forgive those ghouls. It’s only gotten worse, with elected officials trivializing the events of the horrific day. Two decades and America forgets its dead, abandoning its purpose.

Regardless of which way the political winds blow, I remain a patriot. But in a greater sense, I will also always honor those from other nations who stood with us on that day and throughout the ensuing decades of conflict. After all, there were victims from 90 countries on 9/11. A sick ideology attacked the world and despite our efforts, it lives on, dug in like a tick.

The crisis remains. Every year we lose more and more to that fateful day. Victims and rescuers alike suffer life threatening medical conditions due to the exposure to toxins during the attacks and continue to succumb to these lingering wounds. As a country, we must stand by them.

Even now, the world is faced with the continued threat of Islamic fundamentalism that targets our ideals in both word and deed. We must oppose them in every case, lest our efforts thus far, be in vain.

The toll…it weighs on as a nation.

Never Forgive, Never Forget
