Although it’s been around awhile, the Hoist’N Lok Tree Stand Hoist is pretty cool. Created by knife designer and professional hunting guide Russ Kommer, the hoist allows the hunter to get the stand up the tree while the hunter remains safely in the ground. The Tree Stand Hoist mounts easily around the tree with a heavy duty nylon strap and ratchet. Angled prongs sit against the tree to prevent the hoist from shifting and slipping after you’ve secured it. The Hoist’N Lok Tree Stand Hoist is rated to haul capacity of 100 pounds, yet it’s lightweight and portable at just over 1.5 pounds.
They’ve also adapted the hoist for use with Big Game.

For those of you unfamiliar with the mystical ways of La Chancla and why this was the perfect name for CFF’s latest offering, we’ve uncovered this short documentary.
Men get similar construction but with the more masculine moniker of Floperator.

I ran into Griff from Combat Flipflops at Outdoor Retailer and he showed me a couple of cool new upcoming products. I really like the Chest Rig. This sub $40 necktie is made from hemp and recycled plastic bottles which is apropos considering it is manaufactured in the Pacific Northwest. Handmade by Veterans, for wear by all.
Yeti is rapidly becoming the gold standard for coolers. They’ve expanded into stainless steel with four insulated items: the Colster for cans (which they can’t keep in stock), the 20 & 30 oz Ramblers and the new Lowball Rambler. The idea with the Lowball is to offer the outdoorsman one mug for all day, from coffee in the morning to whiskey in the evening,
