April 10th, 2015

Crimson Trace LG-443G on a GLOCK 43 pistol

(Wilsonville, OR) — Crimson Trace, the recognized world leader in elevating laser sighting systems to standard equipment status on concealed-carry and personal defense firearms, announces two laser sights for GLOCK’s new Model 43 semi-auto pistol. The Laserguard®–LG-443 (red) and LG-443G (green)—laser sights serve double duty by fitting onto GLOCK’s Model 42 and 43 pistols. The new compact and thin profile GLOCK 43 pistol is designed for self-defense concealment while being chambered in 9mm. To keep the concealed carry characteristics, Crimson Trace’s Laserguard LG-443 and LG-443G laser sights will add little to the pistol’s overall size, profile or total weight.

The Laserguard LG-443 and LG-443G offer many accuracy and target acquisition advantages for those who have them installed on their firearms. The Laserguard LG-443 models feature: Crimson Trace’s proprietary Instinctive Activation®, adjustments for windage and elevation, and easy installation onto the firearm’s existing trigger guard without requiring any gunsmithing. The Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price for the LG-443 (red) is $229 and for LG-443G (green) is $299.

Crimson Trace makes a wide range of products designed to help make GLOCK pistols better defensive firearms. Overall, Crimson Trace offers 17 laser sights and light models that fit onto more than 20 different GLOCK pistols. Also available is the bright LED white Lightguard®—the LTG-736—that will fit onto 20 GLOCK Models.

Crimson Trace has more than two decades of laser sight product design, manufacturing and service to the shooting sports industry and to firearms owners around the globe. “Making It”

April 9th, 2015

Making It‘ is a documentary focusing on three working artists. One of them is my friend Andrew Bawidamann who has made quite a name for himself as a tactical artist.

Andrew had this to say:

So much went into making “making it”. It is still difficult to believe that it is actually finished and being released. We really wanted to make an HONEST DOCUMENTARY, not a 1.5 hour commercial for ourselves all the while trying to convince everyone how profound and cool we are so you buy our stuff. Check it out and enjoy the ride.

I’m a big fan of Sci-Fi/Fantasy and pinup art and really enjoyed the documentary. I stand in awe of their talent and do what I can to support their work. After all, these men are working artists, meaning this is how they pay their bills. All too often, I see their art used by those who don’t compensate them for their work. What I prefer to see, are folks supporting them as they can, by purchasing art in one form or another. With Andrew, he moved early on from prints to t-shirts and patches. Now, his work has extended to fusing art and hard goods such as pistol grips, knives and axes. His latest project of magazine pouches has had more of a design aspect than traditional art, but it is more than appreciated.

We don’t have many artists who specialize in tactical subjects. Since most of us enjoy their work, let’s do what we can to support them. One thing you can do is watch this documentary if only to raise your awareness of the challenges these artists face.

In my eyes, Andrew has made it but I hope that he keeps on pushing the envelope and cranking out new art.

The company will be located in booth #2525 on the show floor during the event which opens on Friday, April 10th.

Crimson Trace customers are invited to visit the company’s product center booth to meet Lewis Danielson, the company’s Founder and Chairman of the Board. A winner will be selected from the photo booth participants’ selfies to win a Crimson Trace Rail Master laser sight system. Full details are available in the #2525 product center display on the show floor.

Crimson Trace staff will also be on hand during show hours to cover information on the full product line, reveal details about new products and the growing line of green laser sights, and answer questions about product fit and holsters. The booth at this NRA event will also have a store located inside. Anyone wanting to learn more about the advantages that laser sights provide to firearms owners and concealed carry enthusiasts are encouraged to visit the display and test products to examine the red and green laser sights.

Visitors to the Crimson Trace booth can also learn more about Condition Crimson®, the company’s new online training videos, and obtain a free copy of The Laser’s Edge educational DVD. Nearly a million copies of that DVD have been distributed since it was produced.
