MATBOCK – Berserker Plate Carrier

At only 14oz, its going to be hard to find a lighter plate carrier on the market with all of these capabilities. MATBOCK has once again lived up to their motto of “Lighter Faster Warriors”. We have written about this carrier in the past, but it’s finally ready for production after much testing and abuse.

The MATBOCK Ghost material is super lightweight, but extremely strong. Its waterproof and pre-treated with signature reduction and flame-resistant properties. Currently available only in MultiCam with the possibility of other colors based on demand.

Carrier includes:
– Internal dual comms pouches
– Side armor plate pockets
– Shoulder pads
– Integrated reinforced drag handle
– 4-way stretch material around the front and back armor pockets to accommodate various plate cuts, like swimmer cut and ESAPI.
– Available in S/M, L, and XL sizes

    I can dig it.
    would like to hear more about the fabric, is it like a 70d base with a heavy coating/laminate?

    They couldn’t take pictures of it with plates in it?

    Lightweight is nice I guess, but there are a plethora of better solutions on the market, like the Crye Airlite, JPC, or the BFG Plateminus

        Cheaper, more readily available, both of those companies I mentioned used well established, industry leading laminate materials.

        You can’t really use attachment slots or molle as measures of utility because basically anyone who knows anything about modular gear should be able to come up with a solution to any deficiencies they have with a plate carrier by using commercial pouches, ie radios, hydration, whatever.

          The material they use has been around much longer than anyone else’s laminates.

    Waaaay beyond my needs or indeed wants, but with that little material and with it all being clearly very hydrophobic, no doubt this suit certain people’s requirements to a T.

    I don’t tend to find anything other than 500D does well against abrasion, but I don’t think I’ve seen this exact material in person either. All things considered, seems like a bit more practical option than the S&S as far as configuration goes while still staying super light and probably being even more low profile.
