MATBOCK Strap Claws

MATBOCK is pleased to introduce the Strap Claw.

The set attaches to the MOLLE on the front of the plate carrier and holds the backpack straps for the operator without the need for a chest strap.  This allows for removal of the pack without having to undo an extra strap and keeping the motion of removing the pack exactly the same.

The Strap Claws also keep the shoulder area free and clear for proper rifle butt placement as well as alleviates pressure on the brachial artery preventing poor blood flow down the arms.

Each set comes in OD Green with MATBOCK Skins for MultiCam and Black in each package. The Strap Claws are available now for $35.00 per set.

Its the little stuff like this that makes this industry so damn cool.

  2. Caleb says:

    Cool.

Looks like a different approach to achieve a similar function of Mystery Ranch’s cinch.

    • J.D. says:

Yes, but with out the act of god it takes to mount the cinch (iv broken pens doing so)

  3. Harry H. says:

That’s pretty valuable real estate imo, so where’s his PTT(s) supposed to go?

  4. Joe says:

I have always HATED the mystery ranch strap. Pain to install, terrible at its intended application, reduces real estate on the plate carrier, and now I have to run around with a handle on my chest?
This looks very appealing, definitely need to get one.

I like the fact that you can run the skins on these so that it can blend in to your kit. But seems a bit larger than some of the other products on the market like the Wilder Tactical Strap Retention Device which has been around for a while.

Thanks for posting this link bud, my first thought was also “that’s badass-must have”.. followed closely by “takes to much room on vest”. However the ones you posted look like a good way to keep my teams medical bag from digging into my armpits.

Thanks for the heads up, a set is now on the way.

I agree with Harry H. about real estate. Love the idea, but it’s not just PTT. If they could figure out a way to retain or add molle to it for an ATAK mount it would be even better.

I have to say, I have run a prototype version of this for ~2 years and with a little bit of elbow grease you can install under an admin pouch or similar. So, little impact on real estate IMO. The positive effect on load-bearing is pretty remarkable as well, it feels like the weight gets distributed across the front plate in a way similar to a sternum strap, but magnified. I think that is a result of the width and larger bearing surface vis a vis the Wilder option. And WAY better than clipping a pack in at the shoulder strap level of the PC. Plus, don/doff is just, well, normal.
