SORD Combat Shirt

SORD’s new Combat Shirt is constructed from an FR knit fabric (71% Modacrylic/24% FR Rayon/5% Spandex) that features both a permanent finish to increase wicking performance as well as an anti-microbial treatment helps prevent odor after prolonged field use. The design layout puts seams where they will irritate the least under armor and relies on flat seam construction to take it the rest of the way. It also incorporates a 10” chest zipper with an inside flap with chin guard, Gusseted side panels for a complete range of motion, as well as pleated zippered bicep pockets with ample Velcro for IFF and patches. Finally, they remembered to reinforce the elbows. Looks good guys!

Made in USA! from US materials in any color as long as it is MultiCam in sizes Med – XLge.

Thats the same stock photo of ICE Tacticals FR shirt. Did SORD buy ICE?

  2. Zulupapa says:

That’s the Ice tactical combat shirt in the picture!

  3. Ando says:

Yeah the manufacturer of the ICE shirt manufactures shirts for a few companies. Same materials and construction I think.

  4. MattF says:

$172 on the SORD USA site, and $99 on the ICE Tactical site.

  5. Winston says:

Looks like they got it made by the same people who made the shirt for ICE and got stiffed on the product pictures. A bit of a poor effort on behalf of SORD to not bother trying to modify the design and instead have an apparently carbon copy produced instead.

  6. Ryan says:

Hmm that is definitely the ICE shirt. Whats up with that?

  7. Zulupapa says:

I picked up the ICE Firestorm for the $99 price. I wonder if SORD is selling it under license by ICE?

I’ve been wearing it under my Eagle low profile carrier. The collar is just high enough to keep sling and chest rig straps from chaffing my neck and the shirt is very comfortable. I wish there was a bit more room in the forearms so that I could roll up the sleeves a bit farther than what I can, but I can live with it for the amount of comfort the rest of the shirt provides.

SSD could you help sort out our questions?

  8. FireStorm says:

The item was designed by FireStorm, a team of textile and apparel experts who make tactical and FR fabrics available to industry. The shirt was made available to ICE and SORD only.
