MTek Weapon Systems has just released the Predator G4 (lighter, stronger, faster) Faceshield along with the associated MACH1 Cover. MTek tells us that the the new G4 is thinner and lighter than earlier versions yet still stops AK (7.62×39 lead core) rounds at 25 feet.

Does this attach to all helmets or just MICH?
The Versa (Versatile) Rails were designed to work mainly with any issued helmet ACH/LWH). We made some changes so that they would work with even more helmets. We’ve had great luck with them working on about 95% of the helmets we’ve tried including foreign helmets. As long as the retention system hole pattern is similar it’s very likely it’ll work just fine. Some of the RBR Helmets are tricky…

What’s wrong with the tried, tested and cheap riot control face shield? If most models are good against light pistol rounds, it’s good for frag.
Have you ever actually used the issue riot shield? I’m not even sure if it will fit an ACH.
It barely does if you remove the NVG mount…
Most of the (4lb) riot shields are way to heavy and cumbersome to be actually used. The weight makes the helmet almost unbearable, not to mention those old lexan shields don’t really weather well in the current combat environments. Also, stopping light pistol is A LOT easier then stopping frag!
The mesh makes it look a bit like ops-core’s mask.
