Peltor ARC Mount

We’ve talked about the 3M Peltor ARC mount before, but this too good to pass up.

This photo from Japan’s Aggressor Group shows how the Peltor ARC kit integrates their comms headset directly with the Ops-Core Accessory Rail Connector.

Is the gear on that website real? I see they sell the Magpul PTS Airsoft stuff, so surely that Peltor ARC Mount is not legit? They have First Spear stuff on there though, so… ?

Here are some more pictures I took: http://www.dnkholdings.net/?p=684

I’ve been using this adapter shortly after I received ARC rails for my helmet. Since I got my first set for free, and I needed another set I went out hunting for them. Agressors prices are ridiculous, and ebay stores are outrageous as heck too. Until I found this: http://www.apdmro.com/3M-Peltor-ARC-p/70071612389.htm This was my little secret and I only told few people about these great prices. I only shared this here because others will probably buy this and I think people should get great kit at reasonable prices. Enjoy!

Yes, Aggressor’s prices ARE extremely high, but they are in Japan. However, what is your affiliation with this wonder company you posted?

      • awset7 says:

Actually no affiliation at all. I’ve been a long time reader of SSD and thought that I should share this little gem of mine.

$37.00 for the pair as opposed to the $700.00 + they want if you buy them with the Peltors themselves. If you own a pair of Peltors with comms, they will work despite what they tell people. Obviously, they want you to drop more money and buy a completely new setup. Don’t fall for it, comms or no comms on your Peltors the $37.00 option does work.

Thanks for this scoop. I have a pair of Pelts that I’m gonna give this a shot with.

Just to clarify, when you say Peltors ‘with comms’, a regular pair of Comtac IIs can be modified to fit that mount kit? Adding comms to a pair of Comtac IIs is as simple as adding the required hardware, right? All IIs are capable of adding comms or only specific ones? Sorry my comms knowledge is below average at best but I have a spare pair of Comtac IIs and a Base Jump laying around.

this kit is as simple as pulling the ear cups off the headband. rotate the ear cups about 90 degrees in the mounts in the head band and push the ear cups out of their retainer. then take your ear cups and do the reverse into these adapters. mount the adapters on your ARC rails and thats it. too easy. takes like 5 minutes.

  6. PaulD says:

And for the Canadians, srstactical.ca sells the ARC adapters as well.

If you’re in Virginia Beach you can just walk into GSS and buy them, but you’ll pay retail for them. In any case, they are great adapters if you have the rail to support them. Getting the headband off your head is nice and you can rotate one or both cups away from your ears; the only thing that stinks is that you’re then reliant on your helmet for coms. If you’re required to wear your helmet at all times you’d be using coms no big deal, but sometimes it’s nice to get the weight off your head.
