Due to the Los Angeles Police Department’s size it holds some serious sway in how other agencies around the Nation are trained and equipped. When word got out that it had been added to Official LAPD Approved gear list other departments wanted it as well. While the Banshee Rifle Plate Carrier isn’t ‘issued’ to LAPD officers, it is officially approved for individual purchase and this is how they do things.

does anyone know when the newer version of this plate carrier will be released?
The Banshee PC in it”s current version will stay the same. There is a second Banshee which will be a second product coming out in the next few months that is designed towards LE and Sniper operations. This future Banshee will not have this traditional cummerbund and be more of a quick release buckle system, and will not have the same features of the current Banshee- For those that need a military type full PC that will accommodate side plates. Then the Current Banshee is what you still need. Also the Banshee although it shows that we currently do not have the Black and Multicam in stock they are due in within the next week or so. We have 3 facilities currently in production to make 5000 Banshee’s to serve the customer- If you are in need of Black or Multicam Banshee order now as they are shipped in the order that orders are received between the dealer network, agency purchases and Web orders.
