Legit question, because I’ve always been curious. What is the purpose of the Cobra Buckles on these slings? I understand they won’t open under load, but I just don’t understand the utility of that type of buckle on a sling.
As I recall, a client had these made originally as a special run. The concept I heard was to be able to secure the sling to an aircraft via the buckle.

Seems like a good concept if they could decrease the size of the buckle to a half or quarter of the curent size. Love the belt Though!
It’s limited by the Cobra buckle. 1″ is the smallest size.
