These things are awesome. mini man portable PANs

  2. Will says:

Looks like more crap someone is trying to sell to the Government again

  3. Will says:

Why is there a need for a dismount PAN. Idiots…

  4. James S says:

Yet another wonder tool that will be on display at navscoleod then sit on the shelf of every eod team room.

  5. Dave Y says:

Note the irony between the name and Will’s comments…

Well since at least one service supports a lot of SOF and still has missions in their ROC/POE that would require a light weight disruptor and the current T2 is nolonger available these do have there place with the units that require them. It beats the hell out of a JROD.

  7. Will says:

Apparently oops has never been on a tour in afg where your dismount all the time. You don’t carry any of that trash all u need is rope and bang and a detector and u can do anything

To quote an excellent movie “some day this wars going to end” and we will go back to being real EOD TECHs not over paid Combat Engineers. I have been around long enough to see life before this war and hopefully see life after it. Like I said 3 of the 4 services have no use for this tool just like they do not have use for Auto Boxes, SPIDA’s, SCEPTRE’s and all of the tools like that, but one does and we appreciate the work that Perry, Mitch, Bob, and Jeff do for us. Oh and yes I have been to AFG, and Kosovo, and lots of other fun crap holes of the world.

The pan is not an ordnance tool any way. It is a IED specific tool. There are much better ways to RSP ieds then this wonder bag of crap. Eod techs will most likely choose not carry all that weight on top of crew and everything else that is required. If you have actually done the sof mission you would know that its blow and go. Freedom of movement and that’s all. They won’t stand around waitin on someone to set this up and use it. You should take this mini pan and function as designed up your ass

  10. Oneoops31 says:

Like I said 90% of EOD probably has no use for this, but we have teams that still have precision disruption in their Required list of skills. A lot of you that have only know EOD since the wars started would not understand anything other than RSP by BIP but for something’s that we are still suppose to maintain our skills on you need other tools. Not just the kind of TOOL that has two legs and can carry a drop charge.

The Titan is a great tool that definatly has it’s place. ZP did a great job on this one (as usual).

I got to use it a couple of weeks a go on a demo and was very impressed. It is light weight, easy to use, quick to deploy and most importantly, it does the job.
