I look forward to the inevitable Duffel Blog post on Moronvision…
What?
What is this supposed to mean?
No one else reads Duffel Blog? Arggh. Satire military news site, not unlike the Onion. Morovision would be a ripe target for “accidental” misspelling.
Just looked the site up – good stuff!! Lol!
I’ve dealt with the morovision guys a while back and they seemed pretty knowledgeable. Gave me a good deal on some gear. Although an “accidental” misspelling would be funny!
Can someone tell me the purpose of standing in the middle of a 5 way hallway intersection?
Having taken this class, that is simple to answer. The purpose was specifically for this drill. It’s just a simple drill to get you to constantly scan for targets high, low, etc.. this was an area that afforded the ability to place targets high and low and allowed for engagement. It’s to teach scanning for situational awareness while under nods. The two tiered four way intersection has nothing to do with this drill other than the fact it was optimal for target placement…
Thank you Ricky. That explains it perfectly and places the scene into much better context. I might steal that.
Wow, I never realized how much of a problem muzzle awareness was, especially at night. I guess part of this course really emphasizes making you much more aware of who and what you’re sweeping.
