‘The Lieutenant Don’t Know – One Marine’s Story of Warfare and Combat Logistics in Afghanistan’ by Jeff Clement is now available for pre-order on Jeff Clement’s website. It’s currently on sale through mid-February, with an expected release date of April 2014. Every copy purchased through the site will be autographed by the author.

‘The Lieutenant Don’t Know’ details the experiences of Jeff Clement through two deployments as a Marine Corps lieutenant, leading combat convoys across southern Afghanistan.

    Oh the days of being protected by being in the gold bar club. I Always payed my dues to LPA (Lieutenant Protection Association), very similar to the old lance corporal underground.

    How about the LT isn’t needed. Honestly, they do not contribute to the mission after the brief. The PSG usually delivers the insight. Can anybody agree that Warrants need be the now PL’s.

      How about as OJT for company command and then later battalion command? How would you like to have a company commander of battalion commander that had never led a platoon? And good luck on getting any CWO to be a platoon leader.

    Thanks for the support guys. And Billy, I had a great SSgt (now a Gunny) who taught me a lot. He actually wrote one of the two forewords (our Company Ops Chief, also a Gunny, wrote the other).

    Any more questions? I’m glad to answer them!
