Blackhawk! introduced the GripBreak Leather Holster at SHOT Show 2015. The idea here is that it’s for the folks who won’t / can’t use the Serpa holster. Instead of your trigger finger to release the pistol, you use your thumb.

I liked it better when it was called ALS.
+1
Word.
or SLS
Trigger release is a very bad idea, at least Blackhawk has realized that they need to offer options.
I have been told there are only a handful of companies that hold pretty much all the patents for thumb release systems. I hope Blackhawk! has a licensing agreement or they could be facing litigation.
Did you look at the pictures?
Get out of the holster business, Blackhawk.
meh, as stated, I’ll stick with ALS and/or SLS holsters. Although, I will say, at least they have done something to move away from the SERPA trigger finger release design.
The number of “Italian leather” holsters I’ve found that compare to American Cow, or Horse, in durability or suitability is nil. Maybe they should try rich Corinthian leather….
One caveat: BH’s small leather J-Frame rig is a decent little throwback that I kinda like, on the rare occasions that I carry a J-frame on my belt.
