Proctor Light Mount

(null)
Designed specifically for the Streamlight Protac 1L, the Proctor Light Mount is a collaboration with Unity Tactical. Proctor has been using the Protac 1L for some time but it will also fit a Streamlight Protac 2L and Surefire E series lights.

The goal was to keep the light as close to the rail as possible and they’ve done it. It’s so low profile that a folding front sight will sit flat over it. Additionally, it only uses one Picatinny slot.

Nice sneak peak of the Proctor brake.

Nice looking mount but kinda pricey at $90.

That’s where I’m at. I love the mount and I carry a PT1L daily so this mount is high on my want list, but I’ll have to wait until I can pull something besides moths from my pocket.

Maybe when the V2 model (where you can pull it from your pocket, rotate the attachment out, snap it on, then return it to your pocket when youre done with it) comes forward I’ll be able to get the original 🙂

The price is most likely driven by Unity Tactical, who’s products are fairly expensive. However, everything from Unity is extremely well designed and machined.

My concern is more the force that could be placed on the mount from any kind of pressure on the “far” end of the light. Seems like you’re forced by the design of the Protac 1L to mount it where there would be a lot of leverage on the skinny mount.

        +1 on the lever.

Thanks for the effort you put into articulating that concern. I was thinking the same thing. The technical drawing on the package makes me a touch more confident–the area that would bear that load is pretty beefy. Also, as said it’s a Unity product.
