The tubular Recon Wrap offers 8 functions in 1 product that can be worn in several ways and replaces the bandana for camp chores.
While the standard Spec-Ops Brand Recon Wrap is extremely popular, it is not FR. Owner Jeff Wemmer has always been a great friend to the military and wanted to introduce an FR versions for folks using it in an operational environment. Wemmer worked with DuPont to produce the Coyote dyed Nomex knit. It’s been on the market for awhile but it’s something I thought many of you might be interested in. The FR model is Coyote but the standard version is offered in a variety of colors including MultiCam print.

How does the Non-FR Recon Wrap compare to MSM’s Multi-wrap, dimensions, stretchiness, breathability etc.
Or merino Buffs / icebreaker wraps.
Merino Buffs are incredible. Pattern limitations though.
I have had my non fr ones for years and love them. I use then as a scarf when shoveling the driveway in blowing snow. Also work great add a filter to keep road dust out of your lungs when riding in the back of a gun tractor.
You know every time I got one of these recon wraps they always ended up as an impromptu detainee head cover. Never really wanted them back after that. Lol
There you go – you just increased it from an 8 mode model to a 9 mode model. They just need to make a little image of a guy with his face covered and another hand grabbing the top of it.
