For this week’s Friday Focus, we’re taking a look at the Padded AGB Sleeve 6/12, Slim Line. The Slim Line is a slimmer, more minimalist version of the Assaulters Gun Belt (AGB) Padded Sleeve. It allows users to attach belt direct pouches, as well as 6/12, 6/9, or MOLLE-compatible pockets and pouches, in addition to a pistol holster. The Slim Line features comfort padding with moisture wicking mesh along the whole length.

Blatant advertising is blatant. (Not that anyone with a brain doesn’t already know this blog takes money from gear makers to get mentioned in posts.)

    • BrettW says:

I’m not even what your point is?

There are a number of folks that pay to advertise on here. Take a long look at the list the covers the right side of the home page, they’re all advertisers (many top tier manufacturers). There are a couple manufacturers that have a post dedicated to them (a day and time), and what their arraignments are (if any), is really none of your business. You don’t like it, I’m sure there are thousands of other blogs that are in need of a Captain Obvious. Add content to the conversation or don’t click the “submit comment” button, Furfooksake!

Now to the product: This is one of the most comfortable belts I’ve worn (granted I’ve only needed to try a handful to find this one as my favorite). Sits securely on my waist and distribute the weight well.

Great, another government employee trolling me from work. Doesn’t the State Department have a job to do?

    • Cool Arrow Kicker says:

Bob, maybe you should just STFU. People don’t pay for stories on here. In fact, SSD has been a great avenue to get the word out for lots of things that aren’t on the radar.

Maybe I’ll ask SSD to ping you. And then maybe I’ll find out who you are. Trust me, your little wall of anonymity can come crashing down in a very embarrassing way. Oh, and if you’re using a proxy server, that won’t work. And yes, your actions justify it. In other words, do you think this continued bull shit on your part is worth your job?

So, why don’t you and Bill go suck each other off if you can’t bring anything positive to the table

  2. Ryan says:

How about an actual review or test of the product? Looks like a copy/paste from their own website…..

I’m interested because I’m trying to decide between this and the larger version…

  3. Bill says:

Given that it’s the “First Spear Friday Focus” one would expect to…wait for it…focus on a First Spear product. Seems legit.

I have no issue with SSD allowing a company to showcase its products, presumably for a fee. Don’t we come here to read about good kit? It’s all information. Anyone who buys gear just because they saw it on SSD is an idiot anyway. Take note of the cool stuff, do, your own research, put on your big boy pants, and Don’t pretend that an Industry Blog is being produced purely out of a sense of duty to share for free with you, the reader, insider knowledge on exhaustively tested and certified cool guy gear. Because Eric just loves you and wants you to look like you just came off the set of “Zero Dark Thirty”.

    • SSD says:

What if it’s free? Is that still ok?

    • Cool Arrow Kicker says:

Jeeze Bill don’t hold back. You know Bill, if you’re going to insult and call out Eric, have the balls to put your real name out there and what you do.

      Oh, and GFYM

      • Bill says:

        Free is fine too.

        • Bill says:

I’m not sure how I called him out, or insulted him. All I said was that if its not free, I’m cool with that. It’s clear that SSD is a business, not just a hobby, so if there arrangements in place, so what? The fact is I don’t believe there is such a thing as a completely unbiased source, but that Eric features quality stuff on here, and I trust his endorsement, which is why I stop by. I frankly don’t care what, if any, arrangements are in place. I don’t have a single dog in the fight. Obviously, you’ve had too much coffee. And Eric has my email, which has my real name in it, if he has an issue with something I said he knows how to contact me and I’d be glad to discuss it as gentlemen.

        • SSD says:

I’m relieved. I’d hate to think that if been doing it wrong all this time.

  4. Cool Arrow Kicker says:

    SSD,
In light of the past day’s events in regards to comments from the peanut gallery I would suggest the following:

Contact the U.S. Army CID, GAO and cc PEO Soldier and MARCORSYSCOM’s IG. I find these comments disturbing in that it brings into question the integrity of the SPS-TEP source selection board.

These people can be traced back even if they are using a proxy server.

It is clear by the incessant manner these comments are being submitted that there is something going on and that you have uncovered.

    Just my two cents

    • boob says:

What are you going on about? You are nuts.

Yes, please, contact the CID and OIG and who ever else you can think of. I’m imagining the conversation right now.

You: “I’d like to report that someone on the internet said something I didn’t agree with. He might have done it from a gov computer. You should run his IP address and investigate”

      Them: “You are an idiot.”

  5. Scott says:

Seeing lots of variations on the optional iny-outy belt weaving designs lately, wonder why they chose groups of two instead of singular columns like the Velocity Systems Operator’s Utility Belt.
Side note: I’d be concerned about tearing the PALS slots…
