High Threat Concealment/ADS/SIG Sauer Range Day – Ballistic Off-Body Bag (BOBB)

The Ballistic Off-Body Bag or BOBB is a Progressive F.O.R.C.E. Concepts design for a “purpose-built shoulder bag of discreet non-tactical appearance”. This translates to a satchel-style, non-“tactical looking” bag that allows users to discretely carry a sidearm, accessories, and other equipment in scenarios when wearing concealing clothing would be impractical, such as when in gym clothes or in hot weather, or when not wearing pants with belt loops.

The BOBB quickly opens, revealing a holstered pistol and a large IFF panel, to which users can attach their ID or Credentials. The BOBB features Level IIIA ballistic panels which extends to both segments of the opened bag, offering 6″ x 18″ of armor coverage. The strap system can be adjusted to pull over both shoulders after it is deployed, so the bag, and by extension the armor, covers from the chest to the groin of the user. Behind the holster panel is a gear storage compartment for magazines, accessories, and other equipment.

The BOBB is manufactured by Velocity Systems, and the custom holster is manufactured by High Threat Concealment. It is available in a variety of colors, including Black, Gray, Forest Green, and Navy Blue, with custom colors upon request.

How long before the bad guys buy something like this and start posing as cops. Two edged sword when releasing articles demonstrating what should be on LE channels only

    • Ajax says:

I don’t see why it should be LE only. I definitely think it would be of benefit to CCW carriers, especially with a Velcro panel stating such. And I think it would be a really long time before they do buy something like this, if ever. Just my .02, and have a good day.

Quite a while actually. This isn’t exactly the first way of carrying off body, but you don’t see gangbangers wearing fanny packs. Ultimately, packs like this are going to fill a niche market for those who can afford it.

Are you a troll? I have read two of your posts. Both seem to suggest you just stumbled upon this site

    • Dirty Leg says:

You’re joking, right? Anyone can go on Amazon and buy a patch that says “POLICE” on it, sew it to a satchel, and stick their highpoint in there.

      • SSD says:

        But, do they?

Apparently, I have to keep reiterating this. You can live your life terrified, confusing the most dangerous and most likely courses of action. Or, you can accept certain things as unlikely so you can concentrate on real issues.

Bad guys carry in their pockets, sweatpants waistband (and we know how well that works) and the hoods on their hoodies. Some have the girlfriends (Am I allowed to say fuckpigs here?) I don’t recall ever taking a holstered handgun off a badguy on the street, though I have found some in places during search warrants.

Many won’t wear holsters for the same reason some undercovers and HUMINT intel people in the field won’t – they don’t want to be caught with something that’ll raise eyebrows and may not be easily ditchable.

  3. Alex says:

What makes it THAT expensive? It’s priced about three times higher than I would have guessed.

    • Alex says:

OK, so it does include the holster, which makes more sense. Does it include the armor mentioned as well? If so, then it’s not bad.

      • Ty says:

Yes it comes with the ballistic panels. I was lucky enough to get one of the first runs of these, it is a awesome carry bag.
