Blur Media – EXFIL

Last year, we featured the visual concept video ‘End of Negotiation’ by Blur Media, in association with HHK (Hestehovkompaniet). They’ve released another video in the same vein, again in collaboration with HHK. Before anyone mentions it, yes, HHK are airsofters. However, they’re also all former or current soldiers, and the cinematography is cool, so don’t let that detract from the video.

    very well done!

  2. chairperator says:

That Operator in the car needs to do some burpees.

  3. Ken says:

This is well worth a look… good soundtrack, beautifully put together.

  4. Geoff says:

Someone needs to give these guys some serious money to make a full length film. Even if it’s subtitled, it’d be better than just about anything Hollywood has put out.

  5. Matt says:

Good visuals. Little bit to hippieish soundtrack for my liking but whatever. What was the point of this vid? What are they trying to show?

    • Gary says:

God knows what was the point. Calling it an Exfil is a bit too far.

Few mainly overweight Milsim/airsoft loving Germans in Crye combats with US flag patches. Yeah, whatever.

      Soundtrack was nice, though.

    • D.B. says:

      I asked myself the same.

However, I did enjoy the music score.

      I only liked the $110,000 Mercedes G-Class!

    • Ola Ø. Hoieggen says:

The intention is merely to look good and showcase Blur Medias capabilities. 🙂
The tactics and gear is obviously not what would be used in a real mission.

  6. Reeky says:

    cool video, thanks SSD!

  7. Stephen says:

Geoff is onto something, Kick ass vid, not sure about the point but it works! subtitles or whatever these guys should do a full length feature, hippie soundtrack included!

I wonder if the airsofters are going to un-ass the EOTech too? I mean, they operate in extreme conditions too. Can’t roll with your blaster in your trunk in August and expect to be able to do a hostage rescue…

These guys mimic an Army SMU, so probably not. While HRT moved to the T-2 and other Fed LE move to H2, the military SOF community did not just stop running the EoTech. The issue has been addressed and actions can be taken to mitigate risk in its continued usage. I am not a die hard EoTech supporter, but it is not the only optic in military usage to have issues. Growing up in the Army I used Aimpoints, ACOGs, Spectre DRs. All of these optics had issues, whether do to design flaws or wear. I had good lock with the short dot, but even though it was a tank and held zero, still broke off turrets twice. I have not had issue yet with the Vortex 1-6 or the Leupold Mk6s, but that does not mean I don’t routinely verify my optics and lasers zero. I am sure airsofters can do the same to mitigate the effects of a small MOA shift on their gameplay.

If someone bothers to carry a ghillie, he should bother with face camo too… moving in the open during daylight when woodland is 20m away is stupid but hey I know camera needs that…

    • Ben says:

Flashy low vis vic w/everyone rocking MC/crye/kit. What was the point? They should have just landed a shit-hook. I thought mil sim was supposed to be realistic. Anyone see the MARSOC recruiting vid this one is trying to recreate?

      • Ola Ø. Hoieggen says:

Ben, I’m actually 168% certain this isn’t trying to recreate any Marsoc-recruiting video, mainly because I haven’t seen it, and I know the guys at Blur Media probably haven’t either. 😉

Behindbinos, we’re all fully aware of the many screaming errors in tactics, but it isn’t a movie about that, it’s about the visuals, the images produced, and showing the capabilities of Blur Media.

  9. K says:

If you have the bandwidth and screen resolution, watch it in 4K, its really amazing footage.

  10. Mike says:

This video was visually fantastic and I think really showcased Blur Media’s capabilities. I’d love to see more.

Also, if anyone’s looking for the song, it’s “The Way We Look at Horses” by Trent Dabbs (thanks Shazam).

  11. Jon, OPT says:

Very cool, great production compared to some of the trash out there, including what large scale production houses are fielding these days.

  12. DEEBEES says:

    i liked the song!
