Offering 200 lumens max output, the new Princeton Tec Axis allows you to dial the output up and down via the side knob. In addition to the White spot and flood LEDs, the Axis also features two Red Ultrabright LEDs. The internal battery offers up to 117 hours of burn time and the light is prodded to IPX4 specs.

Nope, sorry but I’ve been burned too many times by the similar design of the BYTE only to have them fail on me. I even gave them one final chance once they installed the locking mechanism on the battery compartment but to no avail they only seem to turn on when they want. I know “fool me one” logic applies here but I expected more.
Hey AJ, sorry for the trouble. The newer Byte battery door with lockout was an improvement for a lot of people, but a one size fits all solution is always tough. Case in point, some people want an easier button while others want a harder button. In all cases, we do our absolute best to incorporate end user feedback into the products that we manufacture!
