Bulldog Equipment – Reconfigurable Accessory Integrated Load Carriage System

US and UK Soldiers are assessing the Reconfigurable Accessory Integrated Load Carriage System, or RAILS, developed by Bulldog Tactical Equipment during the Army Expeditionary Warfighting Experiment at 2017 at Fort Benning, GA.

RAILS is a capability designed to provide Soldiers with an integrated pack frame that can be configured with essential equipment tailored to a specific mission.

For more info on RAILS click on the image below. It is available with Mortar and MG packs.

Very cool… bringing ALICE into the 21st century! well done!

    • Fred says:

I’d have said that about a NICE frame, or a Granite Gear Flatbed, or a Kifaru Duplex, this, um, nope. They do have a diverse selection of ACU gear on their website…

      • Che Guevara's Open Chest Wound says:

Bulldog’s gear is mostly custom made; the photos feature UCP because that was the colorway in use at the time. Sometimes you have to read the words, not just stare at the pictures.

Seems that while a few companies were working on futuristic solutions to MG work, Bulldog quietly took care of gun crews’ current needs.

  3. Chris says:

Would it fit as a frame for a MOLLE/FILBE main pack as well?

    • Fred says:

It looks a little short, but, that’s just based on staring at the pictures.. But, throw a few Gerry cans on, Che, I’d like to hear some words about how comfy an ALICE pack is, and compare them to my words…

    A couple of notes:

    1. I can’t find this item on the BullDog site.
    Is it that new?

    2. Sandpiper of California has a similar offering, which includes
    an integrated fold down seat.

  5. Luke says:

the MOLLE style slot grid is a great way forward for external frame cargo haulers, glad to see it tried in metal, wonder what the total weight is though.

Also glad to see the redundant back padding omitted, plate carrier don’t care.

With Jason’s arrest and jail time they are still trying to sell to the military? FYI, I was friends with Jason so don’t try to flame me. Just an observation.

Two and Three gun weapon squad approved – JBLM, Benning, Bragg, HAAF!
