14 ounces? That can’t be right.
14 ounces – damn thats pretty heavy wallet 🙂
It comes pre-filled with Krugerrands.
Grams not ounces
I was going to say 14 Oz is awfully heavy for a wallet.
Enjoy!
Yes, it’s 14 grams!! http://www.matbock.com/products/the-bwe
$75! Guess im stuck with this 20oz flowfold for 1/3 the price.
Yeah but is it made in America?
With American materials?
By American hands?
FlowFold is made in the USA; not totally sure on if by American hands. RAGGEDedge is made in the USA, by American hands; more pricey, but I think they have better quality, overall.
I’m not sure of the origin of sailcloth material.
I’m not a big fan of how the ID window has been done on the BWE. Otherwise, I’d pick one up, purely due to my gear queer tendencies.
I reached out to RAGGEDedge, here’s what they told me:
“We purchase all our sailcloth from Dimension-Polyant & Challenge largely because they manufacture al most all of the materials we use in our gear in Connecticut. We do incorporate a few of their windsurfing materials (specifically the neon laminates : orange & blue) in our gear; those are made in Germany. Lastly, we use Dabond thread manufactured in Georgia.”
So, RAGGEDedge is made in America, with almost all American materials, by American hands.
Which Georgia? The one with hot, humid nights and sexy southern Bells, or the one that got a smackdown from Mother Russia in 2008?
yes.
No RFID blocking mentioned?
Hmm… thinking not “best ever”
Agree
move the ID pocket to the outside so I can pull my CAC out without having to open the wallet and I’d be in for one.
Preach. Been rocking a Spec-Ops ‘The’ wallet for longer than I can remember for that very reason.
fucking CAC cards…remember the days gone, when we didn’t have to deal with their stupidity..
But, if I drop it in the woods…..
Exactly what I was thinking; ‘Best wallet for losing in the field.’
Hahaha. Nice one.
All these cool wallets and no RFID shielding. Get with the times, folks.
concur
The problem is that the ID window is too small. If it was a normal size window it will be a Huge plus to me.
Far from the best. While lacking RFID blocking as others have pointed out, it suffers from the classic, rookie mistake of most low-profile wallets: Slots for cards need to open in, toward the center-fold, not up (like the slot for the DL as shown).
Best wallet ever is the “Big Skinny” … check it out.
