NRAAM 2017 – SureFire XH15 Ultra Holster Light

The new MasterFire Holster from SureFire requires the use of a light designed specifically for use with the holster.  We’ve all seen the x300/400 series lights but SureFire is introducing a new polymer weapon light intended specifically for use with the MasterFire Holster.

Hitting the market by early Summer, the XH15 should come in at around $100. It features a MaxVision beam amd relies on a single CR123A bettery to offer 350 lumens for 1.25 hours.

The new surefire light is 100, the new Surefire holster for it is 500, Surefire math.

These dudes are kings at completely missing the mark. They set the standard for making stuff nobody wants or asks for. It’s truly remarkable.

I remember when people complained when the single cell X300 that was advertised for a previous SHOT show was cancelled.

Guess it’s finally here but cheaper and in polymer!

    • Balake says:

People complained of that light being cancelled (myself included) because it was meant for compact guns. i.e. HK45C, M&P9c etc… This is still a light for full frame pistols, leaving Surefire out of the game as far as compact pistol lights.

  4. RFfromNOVA says:

Yeah. I guess the math adds up that it’s better to create a new light that needs a new holster. How about a light that is a guide rod replacement so I can use any holster I want. Techs supposed to get smaller not bigger and that light looks bigger than the X300U.

  5. Alex says:

I think this was a good move for surefire. A weaponlight that undercuts Streamlight and Inforce’s price point is great for the commercial home-defense handgun market.
HSLD types may want to stick to the X300’s durability and output for duty use, but I think this is perfect as an inexpensive indoor light for a nightstand gun.
Not everyone needs/wants 500 lumens nor is willing to pay half the price of their gun to make it a more effective defensive tool.

Meanwhile, I’ll be buying the new inforce compact apl because it mounts flush with the end of my g19.

  6. SamHill says:

Cool idea, I just wish it was implemented for all of our existing X300U’s.

  7. Kevin says:

I am betting that I will be in the minority here, but my kingdom for a DG switch for this. Curse my mutant sized hands!

  8. Vince says:

I hate to be negative here but this thing looks like a donkey’s dick hanging from the end of that Glock. Aesthetics are important sometimes with high end tools. I expected better design from Surefire, who is usually spot on.

  9. Jason says:

I sure hope it’s better than the XC-1. Going on my third one that is inbound, since my first two didn’t work or failed.

  10. Joe_momma says:

    Early summer this will be released;
Mid summer these will be on IG stippled.

  11. Invictus says:

Good to see that the Hi Point design team is still finding work.

  12. Dylan says:

So is anyone gonna acknowledge how this is a blatant and shitty copy of the Blackhawk Omnivore?
