Velocity Systems – BOSS Rugby

Earlier versions of the BOSS Rugby were made from a slightly different material than the rest of the line. However, that is no longer the case. Available in both short in long sleeves.

Wear a black Velocity Rugby shirt daily as a base layer under my outer vest. Best investment I’ve made in years. Great fit, looks professional with the unit patches, evaporates the sweat quickly.

I have one in ranger green, and honestly would love it that much more in merino wool – no flame & no stink.

Tan sleeve pockets though… the old version was all multicam? Why the tan pockets?

    • Link says:

I have 3 of these but not in Multicam. However, I though the Multicam sleeve Velcro was always brown/tan. I could be wrong.

    • Default.mp3 says:

The older version didn’t have any sleeve pockets at all, hence it being all Multicam.

I personally find the Boss Rugby shirts are sized a bit too loosely. I’ll be sticking with the XGO Multicam shirts myself, particularly given their lower price.

      • Default.mp3 says:

Correction: I meant to say that the original Multicam Boss Rugby shirts have no sleeve pocket loop, not no sleeve pocket straight up.

It’s not like velocity doesnt have color matched velcro all over the rest of their stuff.

I have two of the L/S rugbys in RG and CB. Awesome shirts, perfect for range drills, hiking, even camping and fishing.. ive gone on some long, backwoods hikes with no trails and the materials have held up great

Would really love to see a navy blue version of this for those of us in the Fire/EMS world. These would make great replacements for station polos when we don’t have to have no-drip fabric, i.e. when working an ambulance.
