Stuff I Like – Camber 107 Pant from Mountain Khakis

I was first introduced to the Camber 107 pant by Dave Kramer of Über Group a few years ago at Outdoor Retailer. They’ve since become my daily wear pant.

They feature an external cell phone pocket on right thigh, chap-style double-layer knee panels with integrated articulation at the knees. They also offer a diamond-shaped crotch and “Mudflap” reinforced heel cuffs. There are six pockets in all including the two rear patch pockets, phone pocket, two front pockets with plenty of room at the opening to get your hand in, and a watch pocket at the right.

The material is a very comfy 9oz, 98% cotton/2% spandex canvas which has been given an enzyme wash to improve the hand.

The Camber 107 are also quite roomy in the thighs. I think they revised the fit at some point because my first two pairs are a slimmer fit than the ones I purchased later. Also, the thigh patch pocket will fit most phones and has a silver snap closure at the center of the opening. If you don’t snap it, you will notice a slight ‘ding’ when you walk from the two halves of the snap hitting one another. Keep it snapped and it’s no problem.

Offered in Yellowstone (seen above), Slate, Terra and Tobacco. Sizing is 30-36 every size and 38-44 even sizes with 30-36 inch even inseams.

to improve the hand. Please explain. Looks very jean like, not tactical, nice.

Can you easily remove a phone from the phone pocket while driving a car.

I have a small collection of tactical pants with cell phone pockets (remember the Woolrich elite series–I have one of those even). Over the years the size of cell phones have grown (i.e., large screen smart phones) but the pockets seem to remain the size, and seem sized only for use with now ancient “flip phones”. Does the cell phone pocket on this pair of trousers fit an iPhone or iPhone Plus, or any of the other larger screen smart phones?

Thank you for this excellent review, and I hope you can answer my inquiry positively.

Have 2 pairs of these, and I am a big fan. I got them a few years ago at OR and have had them in the rotation since. Very comfortable, good fit and they have held up to a lot of abuse.

    They also make great shorts.

I have got several different pieces of clothing from them. They have all held up well for several years and their customer service is excellent. As mentioned above, they are practical without screaming tactical. The camber above is spot on IMO. Really appreciate SSD highlighting the functional gear that doesn’t scream tactical.

Any confirmation that they revised the fit in the thigh? Thats my only complaint with these (and I have a couple pair of 107 and 105) is that the thigh is a bit “skinny” jeanish.

I bought them a few years ago when they first came out and were called the broadway fit IIRC…..MK has been messing with fit and names so not sure what the fit is anymore.

I can get a pair of these for $30 shipped in my size in Yellowstone. How is that color? I can’t tell online. Is it a true Khaki?

  9. Kit Badger says:

I wear these guys daily also. I did a video review of these and the Camber 105’s awhile back.

The 105’s are a little bit more comfortable I think, but the 107’s are a little more durable. The cell phone pockets work awesome for R.A.T.S. tourniquets too…

I have the 105s as well but really like the double material on the 107s.

Ya, after a couple years the knee blew out on my 105s recently. Of course they feel like pajamas now though being so worn…
