This looks way better than the rubber only versions out there that I’ve *improved* with paracord and still fall off.. I spent a weekend camping on the west side of Pike’s Peak looking for the one I lost on the way in, bumping into people who’d seen it, going to look for it, finally finding it under my windshield wiper. (It felt as though I walked around in circles looking for it, maybe it was the uneven traction of having only one….)
I used their Original Maxx hiking down into the Grand Canyon in the middle of the winter a few years ago. We were looking into some of the lighter weight options, but I was worried that none of them would hold up under the weight of our packs on such potentially rough terrain. The product worked flawlessly and barely shows any wear.
This model actually looks like a pretty solid compromise. I look forward to reading some reviews about them and maybe picking a pair up!
