Monadnock Debuts ExoTech Arm Protection Kit and Delta 4 Crowd Control Helmet Kit at SHOT Show

Expands protective offerings for first responders involved in crowd management situations

ONTARIO, California – Monadnock®, a brand of The Safariland Group, a leading global provider of safety and survivability products designed for the public safety, military, professional and outdoor markets, today introduced the ExoTech® Arm Protection Kit and the Model D4CC Delta™ 4 Crowd Control Kit. The ExoTech Arm Protection Kit allows any PROTECH® vest or plate rack to be adapted to offer blunt force trauma protection for the arms. Compatible with all riot control suits, the Model D4CC includes the PROTECH Delta 4 mid-cut helmet with the Model DK6-H.150 Non-Ballistic Face Shield and the Non-Ballistic Nape Curtain (NBNC) in one package.

“With protests becoming more prevalent, first responders can now customize their gear to ensure dependable protection for different types of threats,” said Craig Starrett, category director for Monadnock. “That’s why Monadnock is taking crowd management protection to the next level with versatile offerings such as those that allow blunt force trauma protection to be integrated on tactical vests.”

The ExoTech Arm Protection Kit features upper arm, elbow and forearm coverage featuring a 3mm polyethylene shell, riveted polypropylene connector straps, and EVA foam and polyurethane sponge padding. The underside uses moisture-wicking fabric for comfort. Commercial-grade elastic adjustment straps with hook and loop fasteners attach to the shoulder straps of any Safariland® PROTECH tactical vest, offering the user blunt force trauma protection with their ballistic vest. It is reflective-label compatible, and comes in black in sizes small, medium/large and large/x-large. The MSRP is $98.90.

The PROTECH Delta 4 helmet is the basis for Monadnock’s D4CC Delta 4 Crowd Control Kit, featuring an NIJ 0106.01 tested Warrior/ACH brimless design protecting against type IIIA rounds and velocities. The mid-cut style helmet is made of aramid ballistic material and is equipped with the R2S™ adjustable suspension system. With an integral rubber seal as a liquid barrier at the helmet/shield interface, the kit includes an 8-inch long, .15-inch-thick non-ballistic face shield. The face shield easily locks into place for stowed or deployed positions with a transferrable hand release on the left or right side. The D4CC Kit also includes a Non-Ballistic Nape Curtain constructed of Cordura® nylon and high-density foam with chemical-resistant plastic shock absorbent pads. The kit comes in black, in sizes small/medium and large/x-large with an MSRP of $698.00.

The ExoTech Arm Protection and the D4CC Delta 4 Crowd Control Kit will be on display at The Safariland Group booth, #12762, throughout SHOT Show 2019 from January 22-25. For more
