Why not just push stubborn pins out from the other side with the tip of the bullet?

I was just thinking the same thing. or even using a cleaning rod if you’re already off the range…least that’s how I was taught.

If you use a live round its possible to push the projectile further down into the case. Live rounds are not tools! bad things can happen when you play with the pew pew the wrong way.

Literally teaches this in the us army manual for adjusting m16 iron sights, so yeah use live ammo away

A solution in search of a problem.

In defense of this product, it does have it;s place. If in the field one needs to remove the BCG, changing handle or some such thing it would be nice to be able to do so without the use of a tool. I think its probably a unlikely but it may happen.

This part literally turns the cartridge into a tool. The only question on what tool you use in this scenario is how accessible a loose round is compared to the leatherman on your belt. Oh, and “Live rounds are not tools!” I think someone spouted that bit of wisdom.
