SHOT Show 20 – A New 3-Day Assault Pack from Eagle Industries?

On the wall of the Eagle Industries booth was this 3-Day Assault Pack which apparently is a prototype. As you can see, it integrates laser cut laminate which offers a low profile alternative to PALS webbing.

Apart from the laser-cut PALS-compatible panel and the MultiCam camo, it looks just like the good old Assault Pack from yesteryear. Seems that “retro” really was the theme at SHOT this year. 🙂

I still have mine in use which even does not have the PALS. A great piece of kit!

Looks great! I waited 3 years for a Ranger Green 3 day from An Eagle dealer and never did receive it. I hope they make this in Ranger Green.

What’s old is new again. I’m not the only one who thinks it looks like a more up to date take on the classic 3 Day Assault pack. I’ve been looking at them recently. As minimalist as we’ve become, having a good sized backpack in lieu of the small mission-essential carrier bound packs to keep your back clear is becoming more ideal. It’s not convenient to have something you can’t throw off your back.
