Reminds me of two things, first is the Mountainsmith packs, I have more than one and love them as my quick go to hiking bag. The other is the Wildland Fire pack I used to use. The ass pack and fire shelter pocket were attached to the suspenders and it had a removable main pack that buckled onto the suspenders and ass pack. I sewed a Camelbak onto the suspenders. It allowed the main pack to go over the Camelbak and always stayed with the ass pack and fire shelter (The Pack Shack Panel Load Pack)

All that said Helikon makes some nice gear for good prices. I like the organization of this pack. If there was a hydration bladder pouch that could be attached that would be awesome. Put the weight of water close to the back not further out from center of gravity with the bottle pockets. I may pick one of these up.

I like your references, and your idea about the hydro pack.

Every time I look at this rig I imagine a tactical version with the water bottle pouches moved to the belt, the PALS panel doubled in length (so that you could add mag pouches as well), and attachment points on the front for an admin / bino pouch.

      MKIII version Pawel? 😉

Nice, another variant I like is the Kifaru Tailgunner series. Make butt packs great again!

I really want one but I need to see if they have CONUS vendors. $39 to ship a $60 product is too much for me.

I like it, I do like the idea of beefed up one to with molle. However this I could see for day hikes when you want a fast light set up, or going off trail. I also see it as a way of letting the old back breath on sticky day hike.

I think I will get one!
