Launched during SHOT Show, the Streamlight TLR RM1 and TLR RM2 are rail mounted weapon lights for long guns. The TLR RM 1 offers 500 lumens, 5,000 candela and a beam distance of 140 meters; the TLR RM 2 provides 1,000 lumens and 10,000 candela with a 200-meter beam distance. The lights also include a selectable strobe feature.
Offered in light/laser combo or light only models, they feature multi-function tail switch and remote pressure switches (included).
The RM1 is powered by a single CR123A battery and the RM2 requires two. Both lights are IPX7 rated for waterproof operation to one meter for 30 minutes.
Available in Black, the TLR RM 1 and TLR RM 2 Lighting Systems have MSRPs of $255.00 and $270.00, respectively. The TLR RM 1 and TLR RM 2 Light-Only models have MSRPs of $210.00 and $225.00 respectively. Each comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Is there a laser/light combo model? The original SHOT Show press release only talks says that the RM1 and RM2 are light only models, and I don’t see anything else about a laser/light combo; it would be very cool if someone reputable finally came out with a long-gun dedicated combo unit.
Streamlight, please just make that light laser combo with with light – switch – IR laser. Manual not pressure switch. Oh, and no fancy push the pressure pad so many times to activate or deactivate the strobe. Simple solution for night work with or without NODs.
Please. I’d put them on every gun we use.
Competition is a good thing. I hope these prove to be reliable. I certainly appreciate the improvement in their operation features. Surefire … watch out.
There are other models of TLR lights with lasers in Streamlight’s line-up, but I don’t see these with laser options.
I’ve run the previous version Rail Mount 2 light for several years without any problems at all. Very reliable and cost effective.
I put the RM1 with their dual remote for my PEQ on carbine. The body button is great but glad they made dual Y cord pressure pad too.
Streamlight or Inforce?
