Neptune owners, do they make noise when you walk? Interested for hunting.

Yes, they do “swish” a bit. They are so damn comfy, lightweight, and quick-drying though for everything else that doesn’t require ninja-level silence haha. There doesn’t seem to be a way around it with material like this, it’s gonna swish… Surprisingly their Trail Pant from their MTHD line doesn’t seem to swish as much if at all. Those don’t have the same features but they’re more versatile for my uses fwiw. I’m not sure I’d hunt in the Trail Pant..but ya could.

      Yes sir, pretty loud.

I’ve owned every generation of the Neptune pant, and I’m not real thrilled about the latest redesign. Too tapered of an ankle for me. The 3.0 remains my favorite. Admittedly, the 4.0 material is a little lighter and more stretchy, but I’ll take my 3.0s any day. And I still have a couple pairs of the 1.0 hanging on, although the mesh pocket bags are on their last leg.

    Now we’re talking!

  4. LowSpeed says:

Side Note: The Multicam version uses a different material I think (Agility stretch? I don’t know what that means exactly it seems like regular nylon to me), it seems more durable and like the Trail Pants seems to have a bit less of the swish sound. That being said, it’s not silent. If you’re working in/around waterways, which is what these are made for, you can only be so quiet anyway regardless of the material you’re wearing.

What is the sizing like on these Neptunes? I’ve been looking at them for awhile now and just never pulled the trigger on them. Always a little weary of purchasing clothing online. I like to try on clothing before I purchase. I know I can exchange them, I’m just lazy I guess.
