Aimpoint Launches Acro P-2

Aimpoint has launched the Acro P-2 red dot sight which incorporates an improved LED emitter coupled with a higher capacity CR2032 battery to provide five years (50,000 hours) of constant-on power.

The Acro P-2 has been tested and proven to withstand the extreme shock, vibration, temperatures, and material stresses generated by firing over 20,000 rounds of .40 S&W ammunition.

The digital intensity adjustment keypad provides a more distinct tactile feel when adjusting the dot intensity, and these controls are now placed next to the battery compartment to help protect the power adjustments against unintentional changes.

It also accepts flip up lens covers with integrated anti reflection device for use on a carbine.

“Aimpoint engineers more than tripled the Acro P-2’s battery life and managed to fit a larger battery into the sight while keeping it accessible to the user and maintaining the exact same compact footprint as the Acro P-1, a daunting task that only our engineers could achieve.”

    AWESOME!

And Aimpoint isn’t a Chy Nuh owned company.

  2. Steve says:

    Great job, Aimpoint!

  3. Joe says:

I’ll wait till holosun has something just like it but solar powered and half the cost

    • Amer-Rican says:

Is that you Xoe Bixen?! HS is a CCP controlled company and the CCP is a racist tyrannical regime that allows slave labor and manipulates their money system to always be at an advantage against the free world.

      • Xoe Bixen says:

That sounds cool as shit, cheers bro I’ll drink to that.

      • Gerard says:

China has a few problems with human rights, occupation of Tibet and holding a million muslims in concentration camps for slave labor and organ harvesting…but the red dots they make are Cheap!

        • Joe_K says:

None of any of that happened without America being complicit. Welcome to World Government known as International Finance and Communism, but, I repeat myself.

      • jimbob says:

It’s CPC, for “Communist Party of China”. I live in America. If we’re going to make baseless accusations of slave labor and a “racist tyrannical regime” there’s a relevant line about glass houses and rocks from the land of 25% of the globe’s prison population…and last I checked the 13th Amendment explicitly allows slavery as long as the individual in question has been duly sentenced. Not sure if you missed it but we magicked 25% of the USD that exist into existence this past year, so also you should probably read up on how international finance works, what Bretton Woods was and what it was replaced by, learn about the neoliberal implementations of the 1980s, and crack open a book to learn about what modern monetary theory actually does.

Holosun works just fine, and has for years, take off your sinophobia tin hat.

      Cool story

    • ACKTUALLY... says:

You mean like the HE509T sight that’s been available for about 6-12 months now? MSRP is about $509. Street Price is ~$400-$459 depending on vendor, promos, etc.

Cast your Evil Eye to Bezos’s site for the lowball price and prime shipping.

Just don’t expect much if any consistent support from Holosun, unlike AimPoint, which is pretty awesome.

      • Joe says:

So in this case it’s the American company imitating the Chinese one!

      • mike says:

        Unpossible…

besides the 509T also has auto-dimming so it can be daytime bright when it comes out and dim in your pants or a dim room. The choice of a dot and dot/crosshairs is nice as well.

    • IYKYK says:

I see the chinesium whores that sold their souls and chose to knife those that have supported us in the back by in turn supporting those knifing us in the back, are out in full force. Your day in the sun has ended.

  4. Chuck says:

How I wish there was an Aimpoint trade-in upgrade program right now for the P1.

    • mike says:

      early adopter woes

    • Geoff says:

It’s call the equipment exchange on any forum. There are plenty of buyers waiting.

    • Mark says:

I gladly jumped onboard with the P1, when it first came out.

Several features (or lack there of) sorely disappointed me.

However, I accepted the flaws, because I knew that the ACRO design was innovative enough that it would eventually be refined.

The P2 appears to have done that, as it has addressed every problem that I have with the P1.

I plan to purchase one, whenever they become available.

    • Zimba says:

I wish Aimpoint would consider replied to my warranty request regarding the T1. But yes, I am with you: Early adpoters are always screwed, and as much as I like my P1 Gen. 1, I am jealous for every P1 Gen. 2 or P2 owner who entered the game later. The issue isnt the jealousy against the other customers, the issue is Aimpoint and how they handle their customer support, and that P1 and T1 customers are left alone with the issues they have with the products!

  5. Mick says:

I’ve been out of the (non-issued) optics game for a while but want to get into this decade and put a red dot on my pistol – I’ve had T1 Micros and CompM4s on rifles and shotguns before, is the ACRO the no-compromise sealed design of choice if cost is not a factor?

    • mike says:

If you want to run an enclosed dot on 2032s and submerge it more than 1 meter for half an hour, absolutely.

  6. YOGI says:

I own two of the C1 optic now, and i just cant understand why they did not do this with the battery from the get-go

  7. JK says:

Outstanding! Take my money! If you think holosun products are better than Aimpoint ones, well then by all means, by that shit.. this is America and you can spend your money how you choose. those of us whose lives have and do depend on our weapons and kit will continue to buy products from companies such as Aimpoint, whose products are continually proven over and over. Actually, come to think of it, go and buy yourself a holosun..so that these P-2’s don’t go outta stock being purchased and wasted on air soft/mil sim/larping BS

    • Zimba says:

Well, I waste every Aimpoint I own only to my Airsoft BS, besides that its no BS. Its just a rage by the gun community against a different part of the gun community! A few years back the traditional hunter community hated self-loading guns and people who liked them, trying to disgrace them as too military. Nowadays its Airsoft Fans spending their hard earned money on High $$$ Gear being disgraced by some guy who never served the military, weighs 200lbs+ and is wearing Dont-Treat-On-Me Shirts, while owning just some 600USD AR with Holosun Optic, or worse some Bushnell Optic. I never heared any reputable source complaining about Airsoft, beeing it T.Rex, Garand Thumb or multiple Firearm Instructors – neither have I encountered any SF in my military career who focused so much on the ideology behind an Airgun system like the haters do. Its a system, it has its application, it has its pros and cons, thats it. Everything else is an opinion and doesnt worth the paper its written on. The only personal hating Airsoft that actually has served, is the regular stupid infantry men who went threw basic training and now believes he is the all-wisdom-and-glory veteran. Actually, I never hear any women complaining about it: Just males who feel threatened in their ego by some airgun weapon system o_O

      • JK says:

Man, you got me good… go grab some more snickers for your mag pouches bud, you sound hangry

  8. JK says:

Eric, do you have any insider tips on when this will be released?

  9. Frier Duck says:

I feel like Aimpoint has been hanging out with Glock to much and we all just got G42ed…

Consumers:  Hey Glock, can we get a single stack 9?

Glock: Best I can do is .380. Here’s the G42

Consumers: Um cool I guess… I mean it fills some niches, but I guess we’ll all buy one…

Glock: LOL just kidding Fam. Now that you all bought the G42, let me sell you the G43 and 48…

Consumers:  Hey Aimpoint, we love the micro. It’s rugged and has stellar battery life so can we get something similar but smaller for a pistol?

Aimpoint: I got you fam. Let me tell you about the Acro…
