P-40 Gen.2 Tactical Shorts from UF PRO Uses New Flex/Waist System to Create Tailored Fit; Available Starting Today

TRZIN, SLOVENIA (16 June 2021)—UF PRO today announced that it has rolled out an innovative pair of tactical shorts promising greater comfort, better performance, and a sharper look thanks to its use of the company’s new Flex/Waist System.

Available for purchase as of this morning, the debuting P-40 Gen.2 Tactical Shorts will be offered in four solid colours: Black, Brown Grey, Kangaroo, or Navy Blue. Additionally, the shorts can be obtained in the camouflage patterns of MultiCam or MultiCam Black.

The P-40 Gen.2 Tactical Shorts start at €129 per pair. They may be bought online at the UF PRO website or from the gear-maker’s brick-and-mortar outlet in Trzin.

A key selling point of the P-40 Gen.2 Tactical Shorts is its Flex/Waist System, which enables the garment to conform smartly to the shape of the wearer’s waist.

The Flex/Waist System also improves comfort by allowing these shorts to completely fill the gap that normally exists between the inside of the waistband and the curvature at the wearer’s lower back. Elimination of that space is accomplished by strategically positioned 3D pad.

At the heart of the Flex/Waist System are side stretch-panels. These allow for expandable width adjustments without the possibility of creasing the fabric and they work with the 3D pads to prevent skin irritations.

Included with the Flex/Waist System is an integrated under-belt with a reinforced buckle that prevents the under-belt from turning sideways and fixates the waist width, preventing elastic side panels from overstretching.

Other notable aspects of the P-40 Gen.2 Tactical Shorts include:

– Construction from lightweight, breathable, fast-drying NyCo materials that contribute to improved comfort and performance in hot summer weather;

– Side-pocket ventilation openings covered with anti-mosquito mesh (each of the two side pockets is spacious and accessible via a vertical side zipper);

– Variety of pockets (in addition to the large side pockets there are also hand pockets, a small strap-secured gear pocket atop the side pockets, a pen pocket, a knife pocket, and two back pockets);

– Large Belt loops and the under-belt buckle are reinforced with CORDURA® fabric.

    I just took my pants down to the shop on Camp Beuhring and had them do it for like 10 bucks.

  2. Mehmaster says:

    Model has skipped alot of leg days and his shins aren’t fucked up from climbing up and down ropes. For these reasons alone I’ll keep throwing my money at crye.

    • Alex says:

      Company creates innovative, novel, industry-leading waistband system

      “lol model does not fit my industry’s ‘beauty standard’ (by the way, the photo is stretched). Therefore product must suck and should be dismissed out-of-hand”

  3. Iggy says:

    They don’t seem to be gusseted.

  4. Kent says:

    Only one day after pay day, and buying these already seems irresponsible

  5. Hatchet says:

    A bit over $220.00 CAD, and appears to have a lot of nice creature-features. Definitely Guici-kit but the belt system looks comfortable and sensible even for my 34’ waist and any UF PRO kit I’ve ever eye-balled was guilty of being a bit over-engineered but with everything the big bad world can throw at ya – that’s bound to be a good thing. Bottom line – in spite of the heavy-ish price, might just have to jump into a pair of these to cool off or look cool or whichever comes first. Yup. Product availability enquiry to CSS Group…launched. Thank you SSD!
