ASNL Now Offering Combat Wool

Oceanside, CA: All Skill No Luck (ASNL) has announced a new version of their two flagship styles of “combat flannel”: the Ntchwaidumela and Nemean.

Both garments retain the features of their military- and power-sport-inspired predecessors, e.g. front breast pockets tilted inboard, canted shoulder pockets with Velcro closures and hidden buttons on front and cuffs. These are made of a different material, however: they’re sewn with double-weight brushed Combat Wool flannel from Cordura.

There are two styles of the Combat Wool flannel: Ntchwaidumela and Nemean. Both names are based on mythological lions, and both are initially limited to black and red only.

Combat Wool. Not exactly apparel’s version of Diamond Like Carbon, but definitely a superior material.

Ah, the time honored Hipster lumberjack look ?

Also, NOT wool nor does it have the properties that make wool an ideal woodsman fiber and I’m sure will have the “Tactical” tax added to the price tag.

Hi Miami. I have heard that this garment is not no drip like normal merino is. Is this what you are referring to?

I purchased the first iteration of this flannel a few years back. At 100 bucks it was the most expensive flannel shirt I ever bought, but also by far the best. It was basically a marine cammie blouse made out of heavy flannel material. I have a physical job. Dirty, muddy, and moving heavy things all day. The non exposed buttons don’t snag and pop off when you’re bear hugging a big stone and dropping it down your chest, and because the sleeves roll like a bdu top, they stay put. A gunny roll in a normal shirt always comes undone….wet muddy cuffs is like having wet socks. It makes the day that much worse. I literally wear it ever day in cooler weather, and despite abuse it has worn very well. I’m poor these days , and such the new version is out of my price range, but none the less, it’s a great work shirt.
